I believe that since the primary way that we know and understand God is through the Bible, every message must be rooted in Scripture. I am naturally an expositional preacher, and I love picking a text and helping people understand and see things in the Scriptures that they’ve never seen before, and how the apply to everyday life.

The most purchased products on Amazon are the ones with thousands of reviews. Why? Because people trust that they work. As a preacher, I fundamentally believe that for anyone to take what I’m saying seriously, I have to be open and share stories about how my relationship with Jesus has impacted every single area of my life- especially when those stories don’t make me look good.

When you realize that Jesus is actively working and using every single thing in your life and in the world for your good, it’s hard not to be encouraged. With a barrage from the world trying to discourage us, I believe that church and other ‘Jesus gatherings’ must inspire and uplift us.

The Bible isn’t primarily just a history book to be learned about- it’s a collection of stories where real people really experienced and encountered God. When I preach, by God’s grace, people will experience Scripture in a fresh way and encounter God for themselves.
